Hyams Beach has been acclaimed for having the ‘Whitest Sand in the World’.  Pure and pristine, this beach is an amazing destination for any beach lover. This beach is quiet and remote, so enjoy privacy during a day under the sun- and admire the beautiful skyline at dusk.  

 

2.) Muriwai Black Sand Beach, New Zealand

This sparkling black sand beach is located just outside of Auckland.  Discover Muriwai’s rugged landscape and its 1200 pairs of gannets nest between August and March! This is an outstanding beach for those who love to surf because of it’s pounding waves, but also offers lessons for beginners.

This pretty purple beach is found in Big Sur, California.  It’s powdery sand and pebbles get their lovely hue from a combination of mineral quartz and manganese garnet deposits found in nearby rocks. The colour will range from a rusty red to royal purple.

Famous for its pastel pink sands, Pink Sand Beach in Harbour Island has made the list for the top 10 beaches in the Caribbean! It’s pretty pink colour comes from microscopic shelled animals called Foraminifera, who have bright pink or red shells. But there’s plenty more to this beach than just it’s pink sand- you can grab a bite to eat at several fine cuisine restaurants or shop along the sidewalks for souvenirs.  A variety of water based activities are offered as well.
